I'm looking into one. What do you guys prefer?
I'm looking to spend somewhere between 80 and 140 dollars, nothing more. Latest is definitely not in the offing, but something that can take a little video and give me decent longevity is good. Decent battery life is also a necessary component too - although I'm not sure, are batteries or chargers more superior?
(I currently own a Minolta DiMage XT)

I see that. I'm assuming that prices probably have dropped since I bought mine over a year ago and that the printer adds to the value too

I'm deciding between a Kodak or Canon.
You can't get a decent Canon
You can't get a decent Canon at that price, unless you sacrifice a lot of features such as rechargeable batteries (as A mentioned) or zoom or megapixels (which is sort of insignificant now).
True... Canon A570's go for
True... Canon A570's go for about $128.99 on Amazon. I will probably end up getting a Kodak in the short run. Otherwise, I could also wait for the SD 1000 to become much older.
Whats wrong with the camera
Whats wrong with the camera right now other than that little plastic ring holding the lense cap on being broke and all :P. Woot has some cameras onsale every few weeks. Make sure you read the comments so it isn't something crappy.
